Transparent artwork
Remove the solid QR background
Enable Transparent background in the live customizer. The preview and exported QR artwork are regenerated through the same RepointQR renderer used by the design tools.
Transparent QR design
Create a QR code without a solid background so it can sit cleanly on packaging, graphics, presentations, labels, and branded artwork. Use the live transparent-background control, preview scan safety, and download PNG or SVG.

About transparent QR artwork
A transparent QR code removes the solid light background from the exported artwork while keeping the QR modules, finder eyes, and required spacing available for the design. This makes it easier to place the code inside a controlled brand layout instead of carrying a visible white rectangle around it.
Best for: packaging, labels, digital graphics, presentation slides, posters, brand artwork, and other layouts where you control the surface behind the QR code.
Transparency is a design option, not a scanability shortcut. If the background behind the QR is too busy or too close in tone to the QR modules, use a solid light background instead.
What transparency changes
Transparent artwork
Enable Transparent background in the live customizer. The preview and exported QR artwork are regenerated through the same RepointQR renderer used by the design tools.
Scan reliability
The surface behind a transparent QR becomes part of the scan environment. Keep it visually simple, maintain strong contrast, and protect the quiet zone around the outer edge.

01
Paste the URL you want the QR code to open and confirm the preview is valid.
02
Turn on Transparent background in the live designer so the solid QR background is removed.
03
Adjust colors, pattern, finder eyes, logo, or frame while keeping strong contrast on the final surface.
04
Export the finished transparent artwork, place it on the intended background, and scan-test the final composition.
Real-world uses
Place the QR into packaging artwork, labels, inserts, product cards, and branded layouts without carrying a visible white box.
Use a transparent QR in social graphics, websites, banners, digital documents, and other compositions with controlled backgrounds.
Place the QR over clean presentation slides, booth graphics, event screens, and branded display layouts.
Integrate the QR into posters, flyers, brochures, signage, and other print designs while preserving contrast and quiet space.

FAQ
Yes. Turn on Transparent background in the RepointQR live customizer. The QR modules remain visible while the solid background is removed from the exported artwork.
Yes. When Transparent background is enabled, use Download PNG to export the QR artwork without a solid background. Check the downloaded file on the final surface and scan-test it before publishing or printing.
Yes. The live customizer also supports SVG export. SVG is useful when the QR needs to scale for print, packaging, signage, or other vector artwork.
It can, provided the final surface behind the QR gives the modules enough contrast and preserves a clear quiet zone. A transparent QR placed over a busy or low-contrast image can become harder to scan.
Not always. Transparency is useful when the QR needs to blend into a controlled design. A solid light background is often safer when the final surface is busy, dark, textured, or unpredictable.
Yes. The customizer supports logo upload as well as transparency. Keep the logo reasonably sized, maintain contrast, and scan-test the final exported file at the size it will actually be used.
No. Transparency removes the solid background color, but the QR still needs clear space around its outer edge. Keep the quiet zone visually clean on the final artwork or surface.
